A Python-based software that records as much data from one's system as possible, filters it, and then publishes it out to the web.

Nicky and I are working on this one. Python is perfect for this one. We decided to use AutoStat as the name.

Ideas

  • Need to elaborate on possible uses.
    • System events? What possible sources of input will be integrated?
    • Could also have applications send off messages after certain tasks have been completed.
    • Keyboard input? Recent Activities?
    • Could experiment measuring with average keyboard speed to notice a persons mood.
    • Could also find future uses for when someone is doing a live show or presentation.
      • Ex. integrating voice recognition software and broadcasting snippets over the web?
    • Implement the listener as with the ability to add future types of input data in the future.
    • Other possible uses, monitoring a server's traffic, uptime, etc.
