Using the LED screen from other artonomics investigations, artonomics number 2 watches over the first non-commercial search result on major search engines Google, Bing, and Ask.com, the wikipedia article on art. The LED screen displays new edits to the article, Upon idling, it changes to displaying simply the the url to the art article, and the content of the article.

Its a very simple idea. The screen is the standard screen used from the first incarnation of artonomics.

Technical

It must be connected to the internet, and needs a power supply. It can be mounted to the wall, or installed upon scaffolding as done previously.

Description: Artonomics #2 is an investigation into the changing meaning of word "art." This internet-connected artwork displays the English-based "ART-icle" from Wikipedia and exposes the most recent edits to this article which anyone from around the world may commit. The format of the artwork is a manufactured red LED public information screen which provides constant updates about the state of Art and the collective globally changing meaning of the term.

Framed / unframed: Framed LED Screen, Requires Internet Connection and Wall-power.
Value (Note - the DOE does not allow anything over $2400 for wholesale) : $1900, or $2100 with Scafolding stand at 6 Meters in Height
