This idea is slightly out of order. Originally had the idea to make an artwiki which would be more of a wikipedia-for-art. Then from that, came up with the name and everything, and bought a domain, but didn't publicize the project.
Thus, this IDEA is to make a specific instance work really well for San Francisco, since the art scene is disparate, spotty, and not connected.
So, make a google maps mashup to highlight art galleries, get new ones added, old ones removed, allow for comments and reviews of the show.
On the business side, the editorial control should be separate from business. But, some type of advertising placement is useful as well as having some type of more up-to-date show listing. Also, in print, could do some highlighting.
Another key feature is to support automatic printing of the content.
