Guanxi is important in China. This IDEA is for myself to consider the top 5 connections to have which will help me complete my mission. I am considering both what I will offer and what the other person can offer me. To do it even better would be to calculate how many people it would take for me to meet to get to my target.

Ok, there are a few. When considering Guanxi connections, one must map them per scenario. It would be quite difficult to guanxi into Chinese government, especially as a foreigner.

My goals for Guanxi are connections to Cao Chang Di and this area, so I will say:

  • Pan Shiyi
  • Mr. Ma
  • Customs Person
  • Police Chief for Cao Chang Di
  • Ai Wei Wei
