While wandering around San Francisco's mission and waiting on Guy Overfelt to show up at Mission 17, I stopped in a few shops. I randomly asked the Chinese store owners who can speak spanish. Nearly every other shop had Chinese workers who could speak English and those who didn't, had hired Mexican workers who could speak to Spanish speaking customers.

Past Cantocore, a show so heavily focusd on Cantonese culture and aesthetics, I am now thinking about doing a show investigating the shared immigrant concerns between Mexican culture and Chinese/Cantonese culture. This would be quite interesting to look at the similarities and differences of Californian immigrants locally and in the home countries.
